Ministry of Housing: Over than RO 461 Million the Value of Real Estate Trading Last February

HE Abdullah bin Salim Al Mukhaini, Secretary of the Real Estate Registry in the Ministry of Housing stated that the value of contracts traded during the month of February amounted over than OMR 461,899,000 while the collected fees exceeded OMR 7,9,000 and the total number of trading activities 35,344 including sale, donation, inheritance, swap, mortgage, mortgage release, land usufruct, dividing, and deed stamping.

 

North Al Batinah Top in Sales

Al Mukhaini added that the total value of sale contracts valued over than OMR 105,544,000 through 5,113 sale transactions in the Sultanate, while the fees collected from sales amounted to more than OMR 3,87,000.

He pointed out that the sales transactions in North Al Batinah governorate recorded the highest percentage compared to the rest of the governorates last month, with a total of 1,184 sales, South Al Batinah with 940, followed by Muscat with 776 transactions, then Al Dakhiliyah governorate with 547 sale transactions, then North Al Sharqiyah  with 424 sales, South Al Sharqiyah with 360, then Al Dhahirah with 289, Dhofar with 266, Al Buraimi with 175, Al Wusta 129 and finally 27 sale transactions  recorded in Musandam

 

 

 

 

Muscat The Highest in Mortgage Transactions

Al Mukhaini said that the total value of mortgage contracts amounted to more than OMR 354,198,000 through 1,348 mortgage transactions made in the Sultanate, while the fees collected from mortgage amounted to more than OMR 1,237,657 and the highest number of mortgage transactions was registered in Muscat with 383 transactions, followed by South Al Batinah governorate with 268 , Al Dhakhiliya governorate with 166, then North Al Batinah governorate with 230, followed by South Al Sharqiyah governorate with 78, then Al Dhahirah governorate with 61, then North Al Sharqiyah  governorate with 61, then Dhofar governorate with 58, then Al Buraimi governorate with 30, Musandam governorate with 8 contracts, and finally 5 mortgages contracts  recorded in Al Wusta governorate

 

Transactions of Swap, Donation, Inheritance, Mortgage Release, Dividing, Usufruct and Deed Stamping

His Excellency Abdullah bin Salim Al Mukhaini, Secretary of the Real Estate Registry in the Ministry of Housing highlighted that the value of swap contracts was more than OMR 2,156,000 and the fees collected were OMR 42,049 through the registration of 144 swap contracts, most of which were in North Al Sharqiyah with 26 contracts which is the highest percentage among the governorates. Moreover, 1,867 was the number of donation contracts concluded, with the largest share being that of Muscat with 276 contracts. As for inheritance contracts, 727 contracts were made and the share of North Al Batinah was highest with 341 inheritance contracts.

A total of 747 mortgage release were concluded at the level of the governorates and the highest percentage was that of Muscat governorate with 301 contracts. Moreover, 576 dividing contracts were registered in the Sultanate governorates and North Al Batinah come first by 124 contract. In addition, as for usufruct contracts, 371 transactions were made, most of which were in Muscat with 67 contracts, while 251 deed stamping contracts were registered and North Al Batinah governorate scored the highest number by 92 contract.

 

24,200 Title Deed Issued

HE Abdullah Al Mukhaini said that last February 24,200 titles were issued, including those issued to GCC nationals in line with the controls of ownership of real estate in the Sultanate. He pointed out that total of 77 title deeds were issued to GCC nationals. The citizens of Kuwait came first with 28 ownerships, followed by United Arab Emirates citizens with 22 ownerships, Bahraini citizens with 15 ownerships, Qatari citizens with 9 ownerships, 3 ownerships for KSA citizens. Moreover, the total number of new plots registered for the first time reached 5,310 land plots, including 4,568 residential land, 108 residential-commercial land, 37 commercial land, 35 industrial land, 557 agricultural land and 5 plots for government use.
