According to a report issued by the Ministry of Housing, the value of contracts traded during the first quarter of this year in the various governorates of the Sultanate amounted to more than RO 727,378,000, while the fees collected amounted to RO 23,024,000.
The total value of the sale contracts adjusted was RO 311,166,517 through the conclusion of 16,157 sales transaction, while the total value of mortgage contracts was RO 410,743,685 through 5,503 sale transaction. During the same period RO 5,468,292 was the value of swap contracts through the completion of 250 swap transaction. In addition, a total of 63,301 title deeds was issued during the same period.
Governorate of Muscat Highest in Traded Value
Muscat Governorate was the highest in the total traded value during the first quarter of this year with a total value of RO 371,383,362, followed by North Al Batinah governorate with a value of RO 87,895,499 and then South Al Batinah governorate with a value of RO 75,553,534.
As for Dhofar governorate, the traded value amounted to RO 59,876,537, while in Musandam governorate it amounted to RO 2,946,602. In the governorate of Al Buraimi the traded value was RO 12,042,000, RO 49,126,144 in Al Dakhiliyah, RO 21,369,272 in North Al Sharqiyah, and RO 19,994,270 in South Al Sharqiyah. In Al Dhahirah governorate the traded value was R0 20,911,680, and finally in Al Wusta the total traded value of real estate for the first quarter of this year amounted to RO 6,279,488
