The Ministry of Housing celebrated, on Wednesday 03/08/2017, the distribution of title deeds of new houses in Al Awabi area to citizens of Al Manzalah, Al Mesfah Al Sharqiyah, Almesfah Al Gharbiyah villages in the wilayat of Baushar in Muscat governorate. The citizens were awarded new housing, as they were affected by the activities of Oman Cement factory, in a special celebration held under the auspices of HE Muhanna bin Saif Al Ma’wali, Wali of Baushar in presence of citizens and a number of Ministry officials.
HE the Wali delivered a speech on this occasion, expressed his congratulations to the citizens on this vital and integrated project which will allow them to reside in a proper and healthy environment. HE also expressed his thanks to all institutions and individuals who contributed to the completion of the project, overcoming many obstacles, and utilizing all available means, considering in the need to provide suitable housing to establish stability.
Said bin Rashid Al Habsi, Director General of Housing in the Muscat governorate gave speech in which he praised the cooperation of citizens with the project committee formed from several government bodies as well as representatives of the citizens and sheikhs of the area towards the success of the project, which was achieved in a record time.
At the end of the celebration, HE handed over title deeds of new houses to the citizens which amounted to 98 housing units in addition to a mosque, a public hall (Majlis) and a number of shops. The total cost of the project was over RO (6,700,000), The project has also been linked to nearby residential neighborhoods and essential services.
Citizen Badr bin Saif Al Tamtami one of the beneficiaries of this project, expressed his delight and deep thanks and appreciation to the government on the approval and achievement of this integrated project, which provides stability and healthy environment for them.
Hamad bin Hilal Al Rahbi said he is grateful towards the government, which spares no effort to provide healthy housing for citizens, especially as they were suffering from the lack of a healthy housing environment as a result of pollution from Oman Cement factory for a long time.
