Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Al Mutawa, Director General of Town Planning and Survey in the ministry, stated that the number of Schemes adopted during the first quarter of 2017 over then (50) scheme in different governorates of the Sultanate that provided over then (23,000) land plot of different uses.
The Director General said that (3) schemes were approved in the governorate of Muscat, including (2) schemes in the of Wilayat of Al Amirat and (1) in the Wilayat of Qaryyat providing (1,599) land plot of different uses. In Dhofar Governorate, (1) scheme was approved in the Wilayat of Salalah provided (703) land plot of different uses. In Al Dhakiliyah governorate, (22) schemes were approved provided (8,082) land plot of different uses plots, including (5) schemes in Nizwa, (5) in Izki, (4) in Adam, (4) schemes in Bahla, (2) Schemes in Manah, and (1) scheme in both Bidbd and Hamra.
He added that the ministry also approved (4) schemes in South Al Batinah Governorate including (3) in Rustaq and (1) scheme in Wadi Al Ma’awil provided (1,366) plot of different uses. In North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, (6) schemes were approved providing (3,303) plot of different uses, including (5) schemes in Al Mudhaibi, and (1) scheme in Bidya. In South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, (3) schemes were approved including (1) scheme in both Al Kamel Wal Wafi, Jalaan Bani Bu Hassan and Masairah provided (2871) plot of different uses. In Al Wusta governorate, (1) scheme was approved in the Wilayat of Al Jazir provided (393) plot of different uses. In Al Dhahirah governorate, (12) schemes were approved, providing (4,577) plot of different uses, including (8) schemes in Ibri, (3) schemes in Dhank and (1) scheme in Yanqul. In Musandam governorate, (1) scheme was approved in the Wilayat of Khasab providing (117) plot of different uses.
Regarding the completed works in the Directorate General of Urban Planning and Surveying, Dr. Al-Mutawa said that (2,923) transaction was completed, including (1032) regarding planning studies and standards concerning dividing or deducting or merging land plots or preparing schematic pockets and other transactions presented to the Joint Technical Committee. The Directorate also completed (1507) surveying transaction including the issuance of survey drawings, locating landmarks, field visits or detailed reports, etc… Moreover, (384) transactions were produced in GIS Section regarding the production of maps or clarification of proposed sites, analysis or development of sites.
